You'll find many of us rooting for Seattle-based teams, like the Seahawks and the Mariners, given the city's relative proximity to our state. Hockey is huge here, and we have a soft spot for the NHL's Edmonton Oilers due to historical connections. College sports are also a big deal, with the University of Alaska's teams attracting plenty of support. So, while we might be tucked away up north, our enthusiasm for sports is as warm as anywhere else!
